The regular capacity-building training for members of the Erasmus+ RETEACH project team, entitled “Enhancing Teacher Education Practices for Innovation: Capacity-Building Workshop,” was successfully held over three days starting from February 2 in Palermo, Italy.

The training was generally organized by the team from Otgontenger University (Mongolia). Representatives from the Ministry of Education, the General Authority for Education, Mongolian National Institute for Educational Research, the Mongolian National University of Education, the Eastern Branch School of the National University of Mongolia, Khangai University, and Darkhan College participated in the workshop.

Among the EU partner institutions, the University of Palermo (UNIPA) hosted the training seminar, while the Transilvania University of Brașov (UNITBV) and CESIE ETS contributed as key partners, sharing valuable knowledge and experience in the field of teacher education.

This training focused on improving the accessibility of teacher education, promoting active learning methods, strengthening school-based pedagogical practice and internships, and addressing green and digital challenges in teacher education. Discussions covered ways to integrate green and digital skills into teaching and learning environments. Participants explored European experiences in teaching practice, practicum programs, mentorship, and in-service teacher professional development, and exchanged views on how to adapt good practices to their national contexts.

In addition, Ms. B. Odgerel, Vice Director, Scientific and Academic Affairs of Otgontenger University, met with Vice-Rector for International Relations of the University of Palermo, Mr. Fabio Mazzola, to discuss future cooperation between the two universities.
