The opening session of the Erasmus+ RETEACH capacity-building training workshop, held under the theme “Enhancing Teacher Education Practices for Innovation”, took place successfully in Palermo, Italy, from February 1–3.
The opening event brought together representatives from the Ministry of Education of Mongolia, the General Authority for Education, the Mongolian National Institute for Educational Research, Otgontenger University, Mongolian National University of Education, the Eastern Branch School of the National University of Mongolia, Hangai University, and Darkhan Institute.
European Union partner institutions — Universitatea Transilvania din Brașov (UNITBV), CESIE ETS, and the University of Palermo (UNIPA) — are co-organizing the training and participating as main trainers, sharing their valuable knowledge and experience in the field of teacher education.
The plenary opening session officially launched the workshop with institutional greetings and an introduction to the objectives of the event, aimed at strengthening academic cooperation and supporting professional development.

The speakers emphasized the importance of international collaboration, innovation in teacher education, and ongoing efforts to promote green and digital skills. They highlighted that the workshop serves as an important platform for experience sharing, capacity building, and improving the quality of education.
